- Every student should carry his/her identity card and school diary to school daily.
- Student should arrive at the school before the first bell rings.
- The bell before the assembly or for the period is a signal for all to assembly or to their respective class rooms. This should be done promptly and in silence.
- Running, playing or shouting inside the school building is forbidden.
- Students should be habitually clean and always dressed neatly.
- The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions within the school. They should also wear the school uniform on out station visits or during board examinations at the centers located in other school. Students who are slovenly dresses or not in uniform will be sent home.
- Non Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Sikh boys should invariably wear navy blue turbans or their customary headgear.
- Care must be taken of all school property. No student should damage any school furniture or the school property. They should not write or draw anything on the walls.
- No books other than text books or library books, magazines or papers should be brought to school.
- Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is strictly prohibited.
- The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles(like expensive watches, fountain- pens, items of jewelry) to school.
- Parents and guardians of all students contact teachers on the PTA days (which generally the last working day of the month) to note the progress of their wards.
- Parents and guardians are not permitted to visit their wards/ teachers in the class rooms.
- Students should get their report cards signed by their parents/ Guardians within two days of receipt of Report Cards and return the same to the school. If lost, a fine would be imposed. Only the final report card will be retained by the students.
- The name, class and section of the pupil should be clearly marked on all the belongings of students, Blazer and Jerseys should also bear the name of the student.
- Late coming, improper uniform and not doing the assigned home tasks/ assignments is to be discouraged and may invite disciplinary action.
- Students who uses unfair means during tests will be given zero in that subject/ all the subjects and a warning letter.
- Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the receptionist.
- Student office bearers will wear their respective badges and will help in maintaining the class/school discipline.
- As the school does not provide transport, it is the parents‟ responsibility to make arrangements for their ward‟s coming on time and going back from the school on time. It is also parents‟ responsibility to ensure the safety of their children is not over loaded by the drivers beyond the authorised capacity of the vehicle. The school does not take any responsibility, if the children are not collected in the time after school hours(Latest by ½ and hour after the school hours) Similarly no student shall arrive or be left in the school by the parents before time (maximum half an hour before the school hours.)
- Mobile phones are not permitted in the school. They will be confiscated and returned to parents only after paying a fine of Rs. 200 and giving and undertaking that their ward will not repeat the mistake.
- Any change in the residential address or telephone number/s must be immediately notified to the school authorities.
- On their birthdays, the teachers are not allowed to accept a gift from the students. On their own birthdays, students are also not allowed to distribute any gift. They can, however, distribute toffees to their teachers and classmates.
TO THE GUARDIANS
- To get the best from the school for your child, you are advised to maintain close contact with the school. We earnestly recommend that parents and guardians should look at their ward‟s school diary every day and see that the lesson and homework assigned for the day is done by their wards. The remarks should be seen daily and signed. If you feel that your ward is not making desired progress the Headmistress / Principal should be contacted.
- Children will not be allowed to go home during school hours. Parents are requested not to make any engagements or medical appointments during working hours. To ensure better discipline, parents are requested not to send their children to school on the day they have such appointments.
- The school as a matter of principle does not allow private tuitions. Besides creating stumbling blocks a student‟s learning in the school and his/her independent development as a scholar, it is regarded as a curse which must be eliminated from the educational system. In exceptional cases, the parents must discuss the matter with the principal and in no case, the staff/ teachers are to be approached for tuitions as they are not permitted to go in for private tuitions. Violation of this rule will be viewed seriously.
- Spend about an hour daily with your ward/ wards playing with them and discussing with them about their activities at school, this is essential for pre-primary classes. In primary/middle classes make them do the homework in front of your eyes, do not pass on their responsibility to paid tutors.
- Do not try to teach your child yourself. Ask them to attentive in the class to sort out the queries from the teachers.
- Never criticize or pass derogatory remarks about the school/ teachers in front of your child. Show healthy respect for the teachers yourself and teach your child to do the same.
- Simple suggestions are given above if followed. Will help your ward bloom into a good student in the school and a successful/perfect citizen later in life.
- Parents are requested to regularly update their telephone numbers/ address etc. in the school records. This is essential so that the school can send important information through SMS.
